Description: This four-hour live course is designed to be relevant for CPAs with business clients.

The 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, including the new Sec. 199A deduction, dramatically affects the choice of entity decision. This course focuses on the tax and nontax factors CPA's need to know to help clients select a business entity under the new section 199A regime. The course examines these new changes so you're able to develop effective planning strategies and make tax-smart decisions.

Business needs change over time, so entity choice planning needs to anticipate changes in the client's business and family situations. The course compares both tax and non-tax choices, as well as the planning opportunities and pitfalls related to sole proprietorships, limited liability companies (LLCs), single member LLCs, partnerships, C Corporations and S Corporations. This course will enable you to become a more effective adviser to your start-up clients.

Instructor:  Jim Jurinski Attorney/CPA (Oregon and Washington). Jim is the co-author of Tax and Financial Planning, For The Closely Held Family Business, published by American Law Institute-American Bar Association. more»
