Description: This four-hour live course is designed to be relevant for CPAs in business and industry, as well as CPAs in public practice who deal with tax issues.
The live discussion class uses relevant cases to focus on professional rules, including not so obvious malpractice traps. Topics include penalties, conflicts, dealing with problem clients, and everyday tax issues encountered by CPAs. Cases are based on court cases and claims made to malpractice carriers.
The course format is discussion-based and lively: participants engage in open discussions and divide into small groups to solve short ethics case studies that address how the board rules apply to practical situations facing CPAs. Ethical issues are presented in situations typically seen by practicing CPAs.
On-Line: Class size is limited to twelve participants and is discussion based. The week before your class date, we will email you with instructions for attending your live, on-line, CPA ethics class and PDFs of the course materials.
A Certificate of Attendance will be emailed to you at the end of the on-line class.
