Other State CPAs

If you are a CPA licensed in another state, some but not all, states accept a local CPA Ethics class for license renewal. California does not. Some states like Idaho require a state-specific ethics course only for your first renewal. Check this AICPA page for a link to your own state's rules.

CFPs

CFP designees are responsible for determining whether a program is appropriate and qualifies for continuing education credit. The CFP Board does not pre-approve CE programs, except courses related to the CFP Code of Ethics.

CLUs and ChFCs

Continuing education courses do not need to be pre-approved for continuing education credit when the subject matter is acceptable.
