Description: This five-hour live course is designed to be relevant for CPAs in business, industry, nonprofits, and government as well as CPAs in public practice.
The course content covers both the Oregon Accountancy Act, Board Rules and prohibited practices and the Washington Accountancy Act, Board Rules and prohibited practices. The course material is regularly updated for the most recent changes to the Oregon and Washington ethics rules. The updated content includes recent revisions to the AICPA Code of Professional Responsibility and new ethics rules covering CPAs who give clients financial planning advice.
The course format is discussion-based and lively: participants engage in open discussions and divide into small groups to solve short ethics case studies that address how the board rules apply to practical situations facing Oregon and Washington CPAs. Ethical issues are presented in situations typically seen by practicing CPAs.
On-Line: Class size is limited to twelve participants and is discussion based. The week before your class date, we will email you with instructions for attending your live, on-line, CPA ethics class and PDFs of the course materials.
A Certificate of Attendance will be emailed to you at the end of the on-line class.
